Some pieces are left completely raw and untouched, showing off their natural crystal structure or formation. Others may be lightly polished or shaped to highlight unique features like color, banding, or luster. We choose each piece based on what best showcases the mineral's beauty. Whether you love rugged, earthy textures or sleek, display-ready polish, there's something for everyone. You can even let us know your preference in our subscription survey — raw only, polished, or a mix!

If you already have a collection, we recommend subscribing to our Curator Tier. this service will help you diversify with pieces you’re unlikely to find elsewhere. If you’re new to collecting, we recommend subscribing to either our Curator or Explorer Tier. The Explorer Tier will help you build a strong foundation — teaching you how to recognize quality, understand locality significance, and develop your collector’s eye. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, if you love beautiful minerals and learning something new each month, you’re going to love The Reserve.

We stand behind the quality of every box we send, and your satisfaction is our top priority. In the rare case that an item arrives damaged, we’ll gladly send a replacement or provide a full refund. We want every box to feel like a discovery worth keeping.

Most of the specimens you’ll receive are cabinet-sized, meaning they’re large enough to stand out in a display but still small enough to fit comfortably on a shelf or in a case. Sizes typically range from 5 to 30 centimeters (about 2 to 12 inches) on the longest side, with most pieces falling somewhere in the middle. This includes: Small cabinet size (approx. 5–10 cm / 2–4 in) Medium cabinet size (approx. 10–20 cm / 4–8 in) Large cabinet size (approx. 20–30 cm / 8–12 in)

Orders are processed and shipped on the 15th of each month. If you subscribe on or before the 14th, your first box will ship this month on the 15th. If you subscribe on or after the 15th, your first box will ship on the 15th of the following month. For example, if you subscribe on June 10th, your box ships June 15th. If you subscribe on June 16th, your box ships July 15th.

We’re confident you’ll love your subscription! Monthly subscribers can cancel anytime before the next billing date. If you're on a 3-month or 6-month plan, you may cancel future renewals at any time. However, once your plan begins, it will run its course and you’ll continue receiving the remaining boxes in your term. Your satisfaction matters to us—please feel free to reach out if there's anything we can do to improve your experience!

We only have a limited number of spots available at each level. If there is space available at the Curator Level, we will be happy to upgrade you on boxes that have not yet been packed and shipped. Feel free to reach out to us to inquire about plan upgrades at any time!
